Description

Discover Belgium’s most beautiful cave near Aywaille. It’s been called the “Wonder of Wonders”, and it contains the only navigable underground river of Europe! Caves are a work of nature, and form part of Wallonia’s Protected Heritage.

Ready for a journey to the centre of the earth? Head on an 1200-metre walk down into the caves. Each space is more spectacular than the last, and will fascinate you and engage your imagination. The caves were carved out by the river, through corrosion and a variety of different collapses. You’ll also see the fossils of tiny animals which lived under the sea 350 million years ago down there.

To get back to where you came from, step aboard a boat for a 700-metre trip, making this experience the longest underground sailing trip in Europe!
