The Iron Museum shows you the region’s flourishing industrial past. On the programme: remarkable buildings including an old furnace, techniques for making cast iron and the multiple uses of iron in everyday life in the past.
Rural life in the 19th and 20th centuries
The Open Air Museum recreates traditional life in the Walloon countryside. In a magnificent setting, hamlets have been recreated to show you the old trades and everyday life at the time. The little school, craftspeople’s workshops, the chapel, the bread oven, the shop... All these building are decorated with collectors’ objects, breathing life into the past.
