The municipality of Martelange is located in the province of Luxembourg, deep in the Belgian Ardennes, and stretches out alongside the border of the Grand Duchy. Rising in Vaux-sur-Sûre, the river Sauer (or Sûre) flows through before reaching Luxembourg. Martelange is only 25 minutes away from Bastogne, well-known because of the Battle of the Bulge near the end of World War II, and the city of Arlon in the far south of the country.
